The actor portraying Prince Charles in The Crown, Dominic West, recently disclosed a falling out with Prince Harry, acknowledging that he may have divulged too much during a press conference.
West and Prince Harry initially crossed paths during a charitable expedition to the South Pole in 2014, where they joined forces with injured military veterans.
Interestingly, West shared that he hasn’t received any feedback from the royal family about the show’s portrayal of them. In contrast, his co-star Jonathan Pryce, who portrayed Prince Philip, hinted that Princess Anne might have watched the series.
Pryce recounted a lighthearted encounter with Princess Anne after being knighted, whereas West, unsure of the situation, apologized to Princess Anne, who calmly responded, “Why? It’s done now.”
In the concluding episodes of The Crown, West depicts the on-screen father of Ed McVey as Prince William and Luther Ford as Prince Harry, navigating the aftermath of Princess Diana’s death. West initially expressed contentment with his son Sean West playing Prince William but later changed his stance. He expressed reluctance for Senan to continue in a scene at Balmoral delivering the news of Princess Diana’s death.
