Nigerian juju musician Omoba deJombo and his crew have reportedly regained their freedom four days after they were allegedly kidnapped in Abuja.
The band members were reportedly performing in the Federal Capital Territory and travelling to Kogi State for another performance when they were allegedly kidnapped last weekend.
The news of their abduction was revealed by one Adeyinka Adeboye, aka Boyebest, through a post he shared on his Instagram handle @Boyebest within the week. This is in a video seen by PUNCH Metro on Thursday and shared on Instagram by @ijeodaisy, the team.
However, in a video seen by M10news Metro on Thursday and shared by @ijeomadaisy on Instagram, the crew can be heard thanking God as they individually step off the white bus.
In the short video, our correspondent noticed that the crew members appeared exhausted, ruffled and tattered.
It was unclear at the time this report was filed whether the ransom demanded by the kidnappers had been paid before the members of the band were freed.
Meanwhile, as of press time, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, could not confirm this report.
