80s Pop Star Samantha Fox Arrested Following Alleged Drunken Incident on Plane

80s pop sensation Sam Fox found herself spending a night behind bars after being arrested for an alleged drunken incident aboard a British Airways flight to Munich.

The 56-year-old model and singer reportedly disputed with another passenger, causing the plane to return to the Heathrow runway before takeoff. Disembarking, passengers were provided accommodation in a hotel and resumed their journey the following day.

Authorities arrested a woman in her 50s on suspicion of being intoxicated on an aircraft. Deep regretful for any disruption caused, Sam Fox affirmed her cooperation with the ongoing investigation. This latest incident compounds recent challenges for Fox, including the sudden loss of her sister Vanessa at the age of 50 last year.

The sisters shared a strong bond, with Vanessa once intervening to protect Sam from their alcoholic father’s attack. This latest incident adds to Fox’s struggles, including the death of her longtime partner, Myra Stratton, from cancer eight years ago.

Reflecting on her participation in Celebrity MasterChef, Fox revealed the emotional significance of the experience, as her sister had played a pivotal role in preparing meals. Tragically, Vanessa passed away shortly after the show’s filming. Fox continues to honour her sister’s memory through cherished recipes and kitchen items.

In March of the previous year, tragedy struck Fox again after her sister Vanessa’s sudden death following a heart attack. The sisters’ closeness was evident, and ahead of her 2017 autobiography, Sam recounted how Vanessa had saved her when their father, Pat, attacked her.

Recalling the harrowing incident, Fox shared, “I thought he was going to kill me and begged him to stop. When I tried to get up, he kicked me so hard in the stomach that it winded me, and he wouldn’t stop. My sister Vanessa heard what was happening and jumped on his back to get him off me.”

Adding to Fox’s hardships, her long-term partner Myra Stratton passed away eight years ago after battling cancer. Fox’s sister’s death occurred just days after she filmed her appearance in Celebrity MasterChef. In an interview with The One Show last year, Fox became emotional about her stint on the cooking competition.

Fox explained, “I’d practised [for MasterChef] with my sister for a good couple of weeks, as she is a fantastic cook. Unfortunately, I lost my sister just after the filming of MasterChef.” She added, “So yeah, my cottage pie was my sister’s recipe, and I still have all her pots and mashed potato things. She’s going to be so proud, and she was so proud when I got the show because she’s a massive fan of the show.”
