50 Cent Teams Up with Netflix for Docuseries on Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ Sex Trafficking Allegations
Rapper and producer 50 Cent, born Curtis Jackson, is moving forward with a docuseries addressing the sexual assault allegations against fellow music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.
In a recent statement, 50 Cent, 49, called the accusations against Diddy “disturbing” but emphasised that Combs’ actions should not define the broader hip-hop culture.
“We aim to ensure that individual actions do not overshadow the culture’s broader contributions,” 50 Cent added, urging viewers to separate the accusations from the overall influence of hip-hop.
The project, produced through 50 Cent’s G-Unit Film & Television company, will focus on the sexual misconduct accusations against Combs.
David Stapleton will serve as executive producer through his company, House of Nonfiction, alongside Texas Crew Productions. The docuseries was first announced in December 2023, shortly after Combs faced multiple lawsuits from women, including his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, who accused him of sexual assault.
In a teaser clip posted on X (formerly Twitter), 50 Cent featured an interview with Mark Curry, a former Bad Boy Records rapper, who alleged that Combs would spike bottles of champagne at parties for female attendees.
Proceeds from the series, according to 50 Cent, will be directed toward supporting survivors of sexual assault, showcasing his commitment to helping victims of such crimes.
The Bad Boy Records founder, Diddy, has faced increasing scrutiny over the past year. In September 2024, federal agents raided his mansion, reportedly finding over 1,000 bottles of lubricant.
Combs was arrested on September 16 and charged with multiple crimes, including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and transportation for prostitution.
He has pleaded not guilty to all charges and remains in custody, under suicide watch, after being denied bail.
Diddy’s legal troubles escalated in November 2023 when his former partner, Cassie Ventura, filed a lawsuit accusing him of raping and abusing her throughout their 10-year relationship. Though Diddy denied the claims, the lawsuit was settled the next day.
However, his credibility took a severe hit in May 2024 when a video surfaced showing him allegedly assaulting Cassie in a hotel room in 2016, prompting him to issue a public apology.
Since then, at least 12 additional individuals have come forward with allegations of assault against the Grammy-winning artist and father of seven.
In light of the growing scandal, 50 Cent has continued to troll Diddy on social media, most recently poking fun at the reported discovery of lubricant during the mansion raid.
Nonetheless, 50 Cent’s docuseries aim to expose the severe allegations surrounding Combs while shining a light on the victims of sexual violence.
